The chiropractor assesses the joints of the spine to potentially find areas of nerve interference. Joints, whether in the spine or in an extremity can become fixated or “stuck”. We call these areas subluxations. Once identified, these areas are corrected with chiropractic adjustments. Adjustments are completed by hand and/or utilizing the advanced Activator or Arthrostim technique. We will choose the technique that is right for you and that you are most comfortable with.
Your First Visit
We want to see how your body is functioning. We will do a thorough orthopedic and neurological examination to determine what your specific problem is. We want you to feel comfortable and confident in your decision to be a part of our community of health and wellness.
We will take a detailed health history to better understand your health situation.
We will perform two scans that are both non-evasive and safe. These scans identify the amount of stress your nervous system is under by measuring the function of nerves going to muscles and organs.
We will measure your weight distribution and assess the way you walk.
The doctor will examine your posture, your range of motion and assess your spine for areas of dysfunction called subluxations.
X-rays may be needed to assess the structural changes that have happened to your spine over time. This will allow us to clearly see what type of care is needed to determine a proper care plan. Your second visit will be divided into two parts. You will attend our popular Doctor’s Report and receive critical information about our system, your care and chiropractic in general.
The second visit is a one on one review of your x-ray findings. This is where we discuss how we can help you, what you have going on, how long it will take and the cost. You will be given a corrective care plan created for your specific needs to ensure proper correction and a timely return to optimal function. We look forward to building a relationship with you that will change the way you feel about your health and wellness!
